In vitro is the only sure fire way.

Everyone keeps saying there is no way. That’s not true. Genetic analysis can be done on sperm to see if they carry X or Y chromosomes…and then the ones carrying Y chromosomes would be put into the petri dish with your egg. The sperm would be capacitated first, otherwise they wouldn’t fertilize the egg. They would would put a few fertilized eggs in your uterus to see if any will "take." The younger you are, the less they need to put in. And you could end up with multiple babies. Hope this helps. If it’s REALLY important to you…look into it.

Be grateful for the gift of being able bear children. Period. There are so many people out there who would die for the privilege. Would you love your child less if she turned out to be a daughter?

There is no way to guarantee you will have a certain sex. Women have a chromosome pair, XX, while men are XY. Women contribute an X chromosome to all her offspring. The sperm plays the deciding factor. Unless you get the sperm tested, and fertilized with your egg, there is no natural way of just having a boy. Your odds are 50/50.

Basically you could have your mates sperm spun and because the male and female sperm then separate, you can then be inseminated with just the male sperm.

I was infertile for two years before God finally blessed me with my daughter.

My girlfriend went through it for five only to be placed on an adoption list and wait another two years for her daughter to come.

My cousin and his wife lost 4 babies and had 3 failed IVS attempts before they finally got their Grace.

One of my best friends from childhood just found out her baby may have a rare genetic disorder and if she does won’t live to see 5.

I just did an adoption for an infertile couple who finally adopted a little boy only to find he had leukemia and hold him while he died two years later.

    I’m sorry….what was your question?

I don’t understand people who are so picky…..a child is a blessing period.

I have heard that male sperm swim faster and you should have sex before you ovulate….but I’ve also heard you should always do it before.

My husband and I did nothing different and got a boy and a girl.

I’d be sure of your reasons for wanting a child.

There’s no sure fire way to conceive a certain sex. However, my OB’s PAC said that she has seen research that shows having sex closest to your ovulation time will most likely result in a boy. This is because the male sperm swim faster so they can reach the egg for fertilization first. Sperm can live up to 5 days (but generally only 2 days). The female sperm live longer, so having sex too early before ovulation will result in only female sperm still living when the egg is released. I think you would need a fertility monitor though to get a pretty precise time of ovulation.

Have sex only on the day of ovulation, when you see like an egg white slime as you discharge, as themale sperm a quicker than female, but they too die sooner.
