yesterday around 4pm i went to pee and when i wiped i saw brownish blood. about four hours later the blood made it to my underwear and when i went to the bathroom a clot came out.. the second time this happened i went to er and basically what i got from them was that its too early to tell. when i woke up this morning it was gone, but about 4 hours ago the same thing repeated itself.. im extremely worried, is this normal in early pregnancy? im not hurting or cramping so could this be spotting, and what exactly os spotting and how long does it last.. please please please i need some advice im so stressed and scared that something may go wrong
I had the brownish blood once. It was about 12 hours after intercourse and it went away in the same amount of time. For some women spotting throughout early pregnancy is totally normal. Go see your obgyn, I’m sure they’ll get you in asap just to be sure.
My friend found out she was pregnant on Thursday, she’s not far-maybe 5ish weeks. On Friday she went on holiday to Spain and yesterday started bleeding. It was bright red at first and over night got lighter and turned to light pink. She has cramping too. It is the time her period would have normally come but obviously the cramping is a concern. What do you guys think?
She didn’t get travel insurance so can’t go to the docs or hospital which is why I’m asking on here,
Thanks xxx
If she is 5 weeks she will have been a week late for her period when she found out she was pregnant. It doesn’t sound good. Bright red blood loss can be a sign of miscarriage and early on it may not even be that heavy as there isn’t much to pass. The only way she can know for sure though is to get checked out. If the bleeding calms down she should be ok for the rest of her holiday but should get checked as soon as she comes home. However she should be aware the bleeding could return and become heavy with clots.
If it is a miscarriage she shouldn’t blame herself. It’s not likely anything she’s done and there is nothing doctors could do to stop it at this early stage.
It’s important to get checked out as if she has an incomplete miscarriage (which is unusual if she’s very early) it could cause an infection and make her very ill.

Okay, I haven’t had my period for 6 almost 7 months and I’m 16 . Recently my breasts have started getting larger and most of my clothes are to small around my hips. I was puking really bad about a month ago, but I thought it was just really bad heart burn. I haven’t gone through ny other symptoms though, so I don’t know if I am or not. Also I can’t buy a pregnancy test because my parents monitor my spending and won’t let me go to the store by myself. My parents also told me that if I ever got pregnant and I wasn’t married that they would throw me out on the streetsWhat do I do? Abortion is not an option for me ever, and before people start complaining that I’m a guy, I’m not I’m really a girl.
Yes, this is a serious question. I’ve only had sex once and it happened on a school trip. I can’t talk to my mom about it because I’ve asked her if I could get birth control just to keep from having a period and she blew her top and started calling me all sorts of awful names. The rreason I didn’t immeddiately freaking out when I missed my period was because I usually only get it about once every three months. If you don’t have anything nice to say then please don’t say it.
Thanks Happy One for the doctor idea, but mom says that young girls should never go into the doctors office by herself (she doesn’t even let me go into the dentist office by myself.)
Tell your parents that you want to see a doctor. You can tell them about your symptoms, but don’t need to tell them about your worry about pregnancy. When you are alone with your doctor (you can also email your doctor, put do not reply in the email, and delete the traces of the email) tell him about your worry, and he/she can test you confidentially.
Also, at that point, a pregnancy is normally impossible to hide unless one is obese. If you don’t have a really big stomach, you’re probably not pregnant. Might as well get tested by your doctor, but I’d worry more about another physical ailment. Especially given your history of having an irregular menstrual cycle, I’d suspect that the reason for the long delay in the period has something to do with health reasons. Some conditions (such as polycystic ovary syndrome, hope I’m spelling it right…) can cause irregular menstrual cycles, and symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and heartburn.
In your other questions, you appear to be lesbian/transgendered. Unless you have sex with a guy, you cannot get pregnant. And it normally takes multiple unprotected attempts with a guy to even get pregnant. And even a lot of sex with a guy using birth control still equals no pregnancy.
Please dont judge me, i have been with my boyfried since i was 12 i am now 15, we found out i was pregnant, and my boyfriend said hed stay with me and he did i gave birth to a healthy baby girl 4 months ago and i know i have just found out that im pregant again. I am 7 weeks pregant and i advice what can i do? My mum will flip is she knows im pregnant again at the moment i am living with my mum and my boyfriend with his parents but his mum would be equally as mad. Does anyone know if i can move out and when? i want to keep this baby, i dotn want to get rid of it becasue its part of me. I will be 16 in 8 months so baby will only be a few weeks old and i will be able to move out and have income support so irl be able to look after them both. Does anyone know what i can do or how i ca do this ?? Do i have to tell my mum im pregnant?
You don’t have to tell your mom anything. I suppose at around 4 or 5 months she might figure it out for herself. If you absolutely refuse to have an abortion, nobody can make you have one anyway. Tell the doctor you will sue his butt off when you turn 18 if he does anything without your consent.
However, babies cost oney and you need somewhere to live. You can phone the local welfare office, but odds are they are not about to tell someone under 18 they can move out unless they are being abused. Ask a local women’s support clinic or something.
Life is all about learning how to get along; and if your mom has been helping you so far, odds are she will keep helping you once she gets over her initial anger. SO maybe tell her and see what happens.
Good luck!

I got pregnant on birth control.
I’ve finished high school and would still be able to finish my 1 year course of college . Turning 19 soon. I have a full time job.
I have a boyfriend who I’ve been with for a long time, hes supportive caring and actually ready for kids. Its quite a bit older ( don’t judge) . My mother adores him. He owns his own construction business and makes more than a average couple alone. Hes more than happy to help me and be there for me.
I come from a good family, my parents are divorced but i have an amazing step dad and siblings.
My mom is understanding, supportive.. shes great.
Though having this baby would mean I’d move into my boyfriend house which is 3 hours away.
I know I’d have maternity leave and I’d be able to work there after at the same store I work at here when i need to go back to work..(have family in the business)
I mean I’m pro choice.. but i need opinions.. stories…help? what would you do?
I feel as if it is my job to take care of this baby.
thank you everyone for making this easier for me. I didn’t realize how good my environment really is.
If I was in your situation I would definitely keep the baby. You have a wonderful family as well as a wonderful boyfriend and it seems as if they are all 100% supportive. People raise children in a much less stable environment than you are in right now. You have everything going for you and you can easily provide for your baby. I say keep it but in the end of course the choice is yours.
i had sex with my girl i didnt have a condom but she has been on the pill for 2 years and so we had sex well i did cume inside her and right after i did 5 min later she got on her period, so by that can she get pregnant??? what are the changes she can??? help plz. real answers only thanks
No form of birth control is 100% effective so any time you have sex there is a risk of pregnancy. While it is not likely to conceive just before your period, it can happen. Ovulation can be a tricky thing to predict. Taking oral contraceptives as directed result in a 94-99% rate of effectiveness. Using a condom correctly each time with the Pill increases the effectiveness to closer to 99%. It is not likely she would conceive just minutes before starting her period, but it would not be impossible. I conceived unexpectedly when I had been taking the Pill reliably for 11 years. I had not missed any pills or taken other medications to interfere with the Pill nor had any bouts of vomiting or diarrhea. I think my doctor was as shocked as I was when she discovered I was pregnant while doing my yearly physical. I had no idea I was pregnant as I had 3 normal periods when I was first pregnant. In your situation, your chances are quite slim, it would be very unlikely your girlfriend is pregnant, but it could happen. ADDED: Just to clarify, combination birth control pills work by preventing ovulation from occurring. So, if she is on her 4th week of her prescription (either taking the 7 days of placebo pills or not taking any pills for 7 days) then this is when her period should start and is not indicative of her ovulating. If by chance ovulation does occur (more common in the mini pill) then the progestin also makes the cervical mucous thick thus hindering sperm from entering the uterus plus effects the uterine lining so that on the outside chance an egg does become fertilized it will have problems implanting.
